🍢 Complete Recipe: Homemade Steamed Odeng (Eomuk) and Dandadan Oden Soup

I. Homemade Steamed Odeng (Eomuk) Cakes

*Use this dough for the primary Oden filling.*
Odeng Cake Ingredients:
* 300 gr White Fish Fillet (Cod, Tilapia, or Mackerel)
* 100 gr Peeled Shrimp
* 50 ml Cold/Ice Water
* 50 gr Tapioca/Corn Starch
* 1 Egg white
* 1/4 Carrot
* 1 stalk of Spring Onion
* Seasoning: 1/2 tsp Salt, 1 tsp Sugar, 1 clove Garlic, White Pepper (to taste)

Odeng Cake Method:
1. Blend the fish, shrimp, and egg white until sticky. Gradually add the ice water until the dough is smooth and elastic.
2. Transfer the dough to a bowl. Add all seasonings, starch, carrots, and green onions. Mix until just combined. **Keep the dough cold.**
3. Prepare an oiled, heatproof tray. Flatten the dough to **0.5 – 1 cm thick** (for skewer style) or shape into cylinders/balls. Steam the dough in a preheated steamer for 15–20 minutes until cooked through. Remove, cool, slice into long strips, and thread onto skewers.
