Ultrasonic sensors can be used to measure distance from objects without actual contact and used at several places like water level measurement, distance measurement etc. This is an efficient way to measure small distances precisely. In this project we are using Ultrasonic Sensor to determine the distance of an obstacle from the sensor. Detection Range of the sensor is upto 4 meters. In real time, we can use more detection range sensors. There are also sensors available upto 12 meters range.
Microcontroller used in project is Atmega328 which belongs to AVR microocntroller family. The distance of an object is shown on 16x2 LCD Display. The buzzer sounds with different sound notes based on the distance.
