Why are the Big 5 (Elephant, Bufallo, Rhino, Lion, and Leopard) so famous?

In the 19th and early 20th Centuries, everyone, from European royalty to American presidents, wanted to bag an African hunting trophy. The larger and more unpredictable the beast, the better- which is how the Big Five became famous.

Why are giraffes, hippos, crocodiles, cheetahs, wildbeests, and hyenas not in the Big 5?
-They are not considered part of the big five because they are much easier to target and are deemed ungainly and the term big five doesn't refer to size or weight.
