I’m on Ladakh trip from Delhi but stuck in jispa due to heavy snowfall
After 5 days of heavy snowfall, I finally started my journey to leh via Shinkula Pass towards Padum, and what an incredible drive it has been!
The entire route is covered with snow-capped mountains, creating breathtaking views that look straight out of a dream.
On the way, I passed through the iconic Gonbo Rangjon Mountain — a sacred and stunning peak that completely dominates the valley.

❄️ As beautiful as it is, the route remains challenging. Many vehicles are putting snow chains on their tires because the roads are full of ice.
The drive is mostly smooth, with well-maintained roads, but a few patches are still under construction, including the Munrey Bridge, where only one side is open — so you need to stop and wait for your turn to cross.

In some stretches, stones are falling from the mountains, so extra caution is required while driving.
Apart from a few short off-road sections, the rest of the way is in good condition, making it an adventurous yet safe journey.
