Signs of Infection
Redness, Swelling, Wound drainage, shaking chills and high fever are the most common signs of infections after surgery. Dr. Georgiy Brusvovanik, Spine Surgeon with Baptist Health South Florida, says if patients present those red flags into 2 or 3 days after surgery, they have to go to the E.R. as soon as possible.
