Pro soccer star arrested for fraud ⚽

In 2014, Abalimba was first revealed as a confidence fraudster who had posed as Chelsea football player Gael Kakuta as he splashed out on a luxury life of champagne, helicopter rides, and fast cars with stolen credit cards. Police said that the man was so skilled in deceit that his character went from “being plausible to unquestionable”. On August the 10th of 2014, he was arrested and he was later sentenced to four years of incarceration after admitting to 12 offenses of fraud and dishonesty in London, West Yorkshire, Manchester, and Derby worth a total of more than $260,000.
