Who Killed JFK: On the Trail of the Conspiracies
This is an episode of “Investigative Reports,” hosted and narrated by Bill Kurtis. It was made in 1992, following the success of Oliver Stone’s “JFK,” and features five guest commentators: Gerald Ford, former member of the Warren Commission; Robert Blakey, former investigator for the House Assassinations Committee; Anthony Summers, assassination researcher and author of “Conspiracy”; Burt Griffin, former attorney for the Warren Commission; and Oliver Stone, director of “JFK.” It offers different points of view, without really taking sides on one position or another, although Stone is the only one committed to a full-fledged, wide-ranging conspiracy in the case. There is lots of archival footage from the assassination and its investigation. This program aired on A&E on Feb. 29, 1992. I am posting it on the 52nd anniversary of the JFK assassination.
