Drink This Before Breakfast and Your Body Starts Healing All Day | Dr. Mandell

What you drink BEFORE your first meal may determine how your body responds for the rest of the day.

This simple morning elixir combines chia seeds, Ceylon cinnamon, and fresh lemon to support blood sugar control, insulin sensitivity, digestive regularity, microbiome health, satiety, lipid balance, and metabolic efficiency.

When consumed 10 to 15 minutes before your first meal, the soluble fiber in chia seeds forms a viscous gel that slows gastric emptying and reduces post-meal glucose spikes. This helps improve insulin response, reduce cravings, and support sustained energy. Cinnamon has been shown to enhance insulin sensitivity and improve fasting glucose markers. Lemon provides citric acid and polyphenols that support liver function, digestive motility, and antioxidant balance.
This is not a miracle. It is physiology.
Drink it consistently. Let your body respond.

Ingredients:
1 cup water
1 heaping tablespoon chia seeds
1/2 lemon, freshly squeezed
1/2 teaspoon Ceylon cinnamon

Blend for 10 seconds. Drink 10 to 15 minutes before your first meal.
