Clearly rattled, Trump had just been briefed that a ceasefire was close — following talks between his own envoy and Vladimir Putin. Just 24 hours earlier, he told us things were “heading in the right direction.”

Then came the missile strike on Sumy — a city preparing for Palm Sunday.

So does Donald Trump have no real sense of Putin’s mindset? And does this prove he has no path to peace?
