Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary Early Plans ANNOUNCED! | What To Expect

Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary details are here! Disney released their early plans for the 50th Anniversary celebration, beginning on October 1st, 2021. The celebration will last for 18 months to allow plenty of guests the opportunity to experience the magic! At this moment, we know that all four park icons will be getting makeovers. Cinderella Castle at the Magic Kingdom will be getting some gold bunting and a beautiful "50" crest that will sit right in the middle of the castle. EPCOT is receiving a lighting package upgrade which will remain permanent, even after the celebration is over. Animal Kingdom's Tree of Life will come alive and the Hollywood Tower Hotel at Hollywood Studios will receive a projection overlay at night. Mickey and Minnie, the hosts of the celebration, will be donning brand new costumes! Disney is calling all the touches of magic and upgrades "EARidesence" and guests should expect more announcements regarding additional offerings in the coming months.
