A lot of people see the AI slop on their social media feeds, or hear stories of hallucinations or erratic chatbot behavior, and dismiss the technology entirely. However, those who are paying attention know that AI only getting more powerful every day, and some serious societal ramifications are coming our way. Machines will soon be smarter than most people at most things, so it's time to start preparing for this future now. If we stick our heads in the sand, the impending impact of AI across all areas of our lives will be that much more jarring.
