"It Had to Be You" was written in 1924 by Isham Jones and Gus Kahn. It has become a jazz standard and been recorded by many of the greats including Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Bing Crosby, Doris Day and Kay Starr. This wonderful Perry Como version was on his 1958 studio album “Saturday Night With Mr. C”.
Perry Como was an American singer, actor and television personality who enjoyed a long career spanning over 50 years. He sold millions of records and starred in a weekly musical variety television show. He received 5 Emmy Awards and a posthumous Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award.
