As we continue to move down the list of BGP attributes that are examined to determine the best path, one of the last attributes to be examined is the router ID. BGP prefers the route that is learned from the neighbor with the lowest router ID. In this video, I'll be explaining this particular attribute, and we'll see how it is used to break the tie.
