About Cummins Engines:
ISX 15 CM 2250/2350 Engine:The current EPA 2010 version known as ISX15 CM2250 features enhanced Exhaust Gas Recirculation, Diesel Particulate Filter and Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR), also known as Urea Injection. SCR consists of a Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF – composed of urea and water) injection system: holding tank, pump, controller, and injector and an SCR catalyst brick. DEF is heated, pumped and injected into a decomposition tube which then reacts with the exhaust reducing NOX. The ISX15 CM2250 and CM2350 has eliminated the injector camshaft due to the advent of the common rail fuel system in which the fuel is pressurized from a high pressure, multiple piston pump, transferred through tubing to a rail where fuel is stored under extremely high pressures up to 35,000 psi.

ISX CM 570 600HP Engine.:For customers wanting the ultimate in performance from their premium motorhome, the engine of choice is Cummins ISX15 – the most popular heavy-duty engine sold in North America. It is rated at up to 600 horsepower and 1950 of peak torque, making it ideal for even the largest and most heavily equipped units. Its XPI fuel system delivers a precise quantity of fuel at ultra-high pressures. This allows multiple injection events per cycle. This, together with enhanced turbocharging and reduced power demand from external engine components delivers the ultimate combination of industry-leading fuel economy along with quiet, smooth acceleration. Best-in-class braking (up to 600 bhp) is accomplished through the Cummins Intebrake, which delivers greater vehicle control while reducing service brake wear. The ISX15 maintenance schedule has been significantly improved over the last decade, with oil and oil filter changes, valve adjustments and fuel filter changes now recommended at twice the mileage of our 2010 engine. This, together with an increase in fuel economy of up to 2 percent, lowers total operating costs over the life of your motorhome. Plus, when it’s time to trade up to a newer model, Cummins-powered motorhomes deliver traditionally higher resale value. A Cummins-designed and manufactured after treatment system is fully integrated and now includes on-board diagnostics that continuously monitor engine and after treatment performance to ensure near-zero emissions.

Cummins ISX CM 870/871 565HP Engine:The Cummins ISX is an Inline (Straight)-6 diesel engine produced by Cummins for heavy duty trucks and motorcoaches, replacing the N14 in 2001 when emissions regulations passed by the EPA made the engine obsolete. Originally called the “Signature” series engine, the ISX uses the “Interact System” (hence the “IS” which is the moniker for the full authority, on highway fuel system Cummins pioneered) to further improve the engine. This engine is widely used in on highway and vocational trucks and is available in power ranging from 430 hp all the way to 620 hp 2050 lb-ft. The QSX is the off-highway version of the ISX with the Q standing for Quantum. The QSX is used for industrial, marine, oil & gas and other off-highway applications. Cummins also produced a 650 hp and 1950 lb-ft version for the RV market.

Cummins N 14 CPL 2592:The Cummins N14 is a popular diesel engine prevalently installed in commercial trucks, RVs and agricultural and construction equipment.
The Cummins N14 is capable of producing between 310 and 525 horsepower, depending on the size of the turbo chosen by the vehicle manufacturer. It is also capable of generating 1,250 to 1,850 foot-pounds of torque at 1,200 RPM. As an OEM engine provider to vehicle manufacturers, Cummins offers a large number of turbo setups equipped for the diesel-powered N14 engine. The amount of engine power needed out of the N14 is typically dictated by the purpose of the vehicle that’s receiving the N14 engine.
