Since falling to a 2020 low of $65.02, amid the height of the pandemic panic in March, shares have increased more than 100% as the company continues to dominate the space and has hit the highs of $140. Now we have to remember that the share market is all based on supply and demand so really what this shows is that there are a lot of investors looking to get their hands on the REA Group shares to bring it up to these levels.

Its interesting though because I don’t see it as a growth monster, but it is a monopoly play and more interestingly it allows investors to play in the real estate space without going to the banks or just financial services.

If it can continue to create a more immersive experience for buyers to use them instead of domaine or any other competitors it’ll be in good steed because Sellers will have to use the platform with the greatest exposure. At this stage really, pinpointing data I believe is their most valuable asset to assist and improve the user experience but to generate leads for the agents, provide more historical stats for buyers and also streamline the financing applications for home loans.

With some of these in the works and what they have done so far in 2020, I wouldn’t be surprised if the continue to improvise on what they currently have and we see the share price continue to climb to heights of $180 or so, given how their team has managed not only the operations but also the balance sheet in 2020.
