San Diego: Crash and Rescue 06232020

A man and his 4 dogs were seen speeding eastbound on Tecolote Rd in his Ford Ranger truck.The man slammed into the back of another truck and spun it around where it was facing the wrong way.

The Ranger continued down the road for over 1/4 mile before going over the center divider, and off of the roadway. The truck went through a fence and down into the Tecolote Creek storm channel. The male driver had 4 dogs with him. One in the passenger compartment and 3 in the back of the truck.
The male was unconscious when Good Samaritans went to help him.
The dog in the passenger section ran away down the storm channel.
firefighters arrived and had to extricate the male who has suffered major injuries.

He was transported to Sharp Memorial Hospital. The SD Humane Society arrived to take charge of the dogs, one of which was injured. The dog that ran away has not been found at the time of this report. Tecolote Rd. has been closed from the I-5 east to Morena Blvd.
