Incident Near Trump Tower Chicago Involving Man and Truck on Nov. 14, 2024 (TikTok)

In November 2024, a TikTok user posted a video saying she witnessed an incident involving a man with a truck near Trump International Hotel and Tower Chicago. According to the person's video — which received over 2.6 million views — the user described a truck displaying “Jesus” on one side and “Trump” on the other, a man in a devil mask and trash bag clothing shouting about Trump, and police responding with a canine unit and a bomb squad. Again, these were claims made by the user.

While I wasn't able to verify all of these details, I did note in my research that the man in the video parked the truck in front of the building next to the Trump-owned building, and not directly in front of the Trump building itself. Also, by email, I received a statement from the Chicago Police Department reading as follows: "400 block of N. Wabash on November 14, 2024 @ approx. 8:06 p.m.-18th District. While on patrol, officers observed a 44-year-old male standing on top of a vehicle. The male was escorted down from the vehicle and transported to Northwestern hospital for an evaluation. There were no injuries reported in this incident." There's no evidence U.S. President-elect Donald Trump was in Chicago on the day.
