Tribute to the power of Black Women and the original Dahomey Amazons which are what the Dora Milaje from Black Panther are based on while dancing to an incredible music mix of Beyoncé, and the late and great Aretha Franklin to kick off NBA Toronto Raptors Black History Month Half Time show Celebrations. Since 2017 Jade's Hip Hop Academy has been asked by Toronto Raptors to present a special themed Black History month piece in February and this year we choose to focus and dedicate our performance to Black women and female empowerment. For everyone commenting they wished we used more Afro beats, we hear you! but the lyrics of the songs we used were our focus and our specialty is hip hop and street dance. Hope you did catch the section in the middle of the routine though ;)
