Haiti - Fuel for Change
“Fuel for Change” is a short documentary about the traditional method of cooking with charcoal in Haiti and its impact on people’s well-being and Haiti’s fragile forests. It highlights how Haitian entrepreneurs are providing alternative, cleaner cooking solutions so that Haitians can take action to lead healthier lives and preserve Haiti’s environment. Together with with the Haitian Government, private entrepreneurs, and civil society, USAID helped grow a local market and a sustainable industry for alternative clean cookstoves, including those that use liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) and biomass.
