A wonderful reunion between father and son. Did you know...even though I put all my effort into finding his father, and we did an official paternity test, he can’t claim citizenship through his father? The laws are such that a child born out of wedlock to a US citizen mother is legitimized at birth, whereas a US citizen father has to legitimize his child before the reach a certain age. Tell your congressman that this law is unfair, and needs to be changed. There are adults in the Philippines who have recently found their American fathers, but they cannot be citizens. It’s unfair, and I need the word spread.
