I recently re-watched the oc, for the first time since it aired live (I was about 9ish when this show first started), and I never really wanted to re-watch it because of Marissa being killed off, but I am glad I revisited the show. I also realized not many people have made fanvids for these two (obviously because the show has been around a while) but I decided to tackle it! I sort of did an AU with it, where Ryan dies at the end to reunite with Marissa. Honestly, that would have been a better ending than we got. But this vid could be interpreted a lot of different ways. I got really creative with it. Showing all the different key memories in their relationship as 'photographs' because I wanted to do something different with a fanvid. I never tried anything like it before, but figured, why not? I hope you like it!

These two deserved way better than they got from the writers! I saw someone comment on a video saying they would bitter about these two till the day they die, and I have to say I agree with that one-hundred percent. Not just because the writers killed her off, but because they added insult to injury by trying to push the narrative that Taylor was Ryan's 'soulmate' rather than Marissa. No one that paid attention to the show for the three seasons Marissa was on it could ever believe Ryan had any other soulmate than Marissa. What a ludicrous sentiment! A soulmate is someone you return to no matter what. And Ryan always returned to Marissa, sabotaging all of his other relationships to make it happen, every time. He didn't even really seem to care about or notice Taylor until Marissa died. Taylor was who he latched onto after Marissa died, and he grew to love her, but not like he did Marissa, and certainly not as a soulmate. Ryan/Marissa forever. :] End Rant.
