Return To Analog - How To Break The Digital Leash | Ernest Barbaric | TEDxCanmore
It was with the best of intentions that we built a world which keeps connected people on a virtual leash.
Going analog, stepping away from digital addiction and compulsive distraction, permits us to reconnect with ourselves and those around us. In this talk, you will learn 3 simple practices that allowed me to break free of my digital leash: Dedicate, Connect, and Create.
Ernest Barbaric is a digital marketing strategist, keynote speaker, and writer. He has been featured in HubSpot, Forbes, Mashable, USA Today, and Canadian Business. In 2010, he developed the Social Media for Business certificate at Mount Royal University, and more recently the Digital Marketing Strategy certificate for the Canadian Marketing Association.
His love of collecting, analyzing and sharing knowledge has led Ernest to design and launch Analog Camp – a wilderness retreat for professionals, and host Art Of Meaningful Work – a weekly podcast where he interviews entrepreneurs, authors and thought leaders on doing work that matters.
Outside of business pants, you’ll find him pursuing a mix of interests that include urban sketching, restoring vintage straight razors, building motorcycles, and black and white photography.
This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at http://ted.com/tedx
