Part 3. Model Ship Restoration Flying Cloud. Headrig repairs.
Part 3 Flying Cloud restoration, rigging, and repairs.
This video concentrates on the headrig repairs that mist be done first. The rest of the rig hinges on the head rig for its support from forward.
Fashioned new jib boom and fitted in place, I then fashioned and fitted new missing pieces to the broken bowsprit cap. This will be shaped in place and then painted black, after the glue has dried fully, and the clamp has been removed.
Straightened out Fore Course Yard and replaced the sling chain that was adrift from under the fighting top. Repositioned yard so jackstays are back on top. Stbd Lift needs refastening to itself where parted.
Letting glued repairs dry.
