Gossamer Gear G4-20 Ultralight Backpack Review
A mid-use review of the Gossamer Gear G4-20. This is not a sponsored video, the G4-20 was simply the next step for me in downsizing my ultralight setup, and I actually ended up buying two of these packs after the Medium version was just barely too small.
If you want to see this pack in action, I took it on two multi-day trips up to the Superior Trail where it performed wonderfully. I used the Medium version on the 40 mile trip, and the Large on the 68 mile.

I shot this review using the Sony A7iii with a Tamron 28-75mm f2.8 lens. For supplemental shots using the a7iii, I used a variety of lenses depending on the trip, mostly the Samyang 24mm f2.8. I shot everything using a custom HLG3 based color profile, and graded using a color space transform in Davinci Resolve, or by hand. I also do all my editing and graphics in Davinci Resolve. Additional supporting shots used the GoPro Hero6 shooting 4:3 4k 30p Flat with Protune on, graded by hand in Davinci Resolve, and stabilized by ReelSteady Go. And there are a few shots captured on the Insta360 OneX.
Edit: Correction from the future here, at 03:54 I state I'm about 155lb (70.3kg), which is an error, I'm actually closer to 145lb (67.5kg). I don't own a scale (and my fish scale I use for weighing total pack weight only goes up to 90lb) so that original 155lb was a guess since it had been a few years since I weighed myself and thought I might have put on a bit of weight. Surprisingly, I was only at 145lb when I did find access to a scale.
