How Did Vader Use An Overpowered Force Ability To Kill An Army of Sith Cultists?

Not long after Vader found out that Luke was his son, the dark lord went on a renegade mission to find out how his children survived. He was harshly punished by Palpatine for this, and in an act of rare defiance, Vader had a bit of a temper tantrum, declaring that he was no longer the Emperor's apprentice. Pursuing the Emperor to Exogal, he was greeted by an army of Sith cultists, with Palpatine claiming that any one of them could replace Vader as his right-hand man. Each Sith cultist was armed with a dagger and was poised to attack Lord Vader. However, Vader simply used the force to lift their blades into the air, using them to create a maelstrom of flying daggers that instantly killed his apparent successors.
