Lord Indra, despite having all the luxuries and celestial beauties in Swargalok (Heaven), couldn’t resist his desires. One day, while roaming the Earth, he saw the divine beauty of Devi Ahalya, the wife of Sage Gautam, and was instantly captivated. Seizing the moment when Sage Gautam went to bathe in the river, Indra disguised himself as the sage and deceitfully approached Ahalya.

When Sage Gautam discovered the truth, he was enraged and cursed Ahalya to turn into stone and Indra to suffer the consequences of his deceit.

This tale from Hindu mythology reminds us: When a person becomes a slave to lust and indulgence, their downfall begins.
