For this medley, I chose Metallica's most melodic moments from their early albums. Metallica is known for playing wild thrash and speed metal, but also for beautiful, melodic musical arrangements, thus offering a wide range of emotions in their music. A big role in this played bassist Cliff Burton who contributed a lot to the early sound of Metallica with his advanced knowledge in music theory, but died much too young in the tragic tour bus accident in 1986.
