RUPES Paint Correction on THRASHED Black Paint | DETAILS WITH LEVI

In this RUPES detailing tutorial, we break down the major differences between a single step paint correction and a multi-step correction! Our candidate is a black Ford F-150 with 220,000 miles and plenty of scratches to show for it!

Detailing black vehicles can be a bit intimidating for most people that are new to it. However, it can also be the most rewarding! This black truck had plenty of scratches and swirls to remove in the "buffing" process. Even a single step paint correction did wonders on the black finish. However, Dylan Von Kleist and Levi found that a 2 step paint correction was the sweet spot to make this truck look good. Performing a 3 step correction on the paint didn't provide a noticeably different result to justify the extra work. Reviewing the finish after each step with the Scangrip colormatch lights was extremely helpful.

The scratch and swirl killer of choice was the RUPES LHR 15 Mark II. Dylan demonstrates the proper way to machine polish the paint, while Levi removes the polish like a pro! The before and after results of the correction are night and day difference and we have plenty of footage to show for it!
