My FIRST Real Estate Paycheck! | How much do real estate agents make?

In this video, I spill ALL the details about my first real estate commission check! I share what the "gross" commission looks like, and what the "net" commission is after all deductions! Though realtors can certainly earn sizable checks when selling homes, my first few transactions were pretty modest. Since the first deal involved a parcel of vacant land, I also talk about how much I made after my first residential real estate deal - the purchase of a condo! I hope this information is helpful to those of you that are considering a career in real estate - it's important to keep in mind that as an agent, the initial amount of money that you earn is NOT what you get to put in your pocket! There are commission splits, fees, and taxes, that need to be accounted for before you can get a clear idea of how much you're ACTUALLY making on a given transaction.
