Anthony Albanese 'relying on interest rates coming down' to 'go the distance' in 2025
Sky News contributor Joe Hildebrand says Anthony Albanese is “relying on interest rates coming down” as he explained the Prime Minister is going to “go the distance” instead of call an early election.
Mr Hildebrand joined former speaker of the house Bronwyn Bishop in a fiery debate on Paul Murray Live to determine when the next federal election would be held.
“When interest rates come down, or if interest rates come down, which everyone is predicting will happen in the first half of next year, then he can say, ‘look, the worst is over’,” Mr Hildebrand said.
