As It Is Break Down Mental Health Stigmas on The Great Depression | Interview
As It Is revived the art of the concept album while simultaneously challenging the social stigmas surrounding mental health on their latest album The Great Depression. Drawing inspiration from early 2000's scene bands along with their collective experiences with mental health struggles, the band is altering the way listeners view and discuss topics including depression and suicide. It sounds like a daunting feat but they approached it with grace and confidence. I sat down with the band to get a closer look into their creative process for the album's elaborate storyline.
