A Giant Face Watching the City – Street Art in Motion

While driving through Rosny-sous-Bois, I discovered this impressive mural dedicated to André Malraux at age 34.

Malraux was a major French figure — writer, intellectual, adventurer, and politician. He won the prestigious Prix Goncourt in 1933 for his famous novel La Condition humaine, and later became Minister of Culture under Charles de Gaulle in the 1960s.

Today, he rests among France’s greatest figures at the Panthéon in Paris.

Finding art like this unexpectedly while driving is always special — a reminder that history and culture live right on our streets.
