Trapping Poster Art for Screen Printing in PhotoShop by Rural Rooster

This is a demo we created to help explain one of the photoshop methods that we use to prepare art for screen print separations.

Setting up poster art for screen printing
PhotoShop Method 1

- Layer Per Color
- Light to Dark Print Order (when on light paper)
- Minimum 5-8 pixel trap stroke (while at 300 dpi)
- Reverse Paper Knock-out Method
- Eliminate unneeded trapping
- Solid Shape Trapping Under Dark colors when possible
- Descrease Layer Opacity to Check Trapping Overlap
- Key Image (usually last/darkest color, ie. line drawing)
