FIRST LOOK! Main Event (Deer Park NY), new 4K arcade tour & full walkthrough, May 2026

We interrupt your regularly scheduled Great Southern Arcade RoadTrip programming to bring you this brand new arcade on Long Island! We were invited to check out a soft opening of Main Event at the Tanger Outlets in Deer Park, NY. This is a sister brand to Dave & Buster's, with a stronger emphasis on experiences over just games, games, games. So in addition to the arcade games, they have bowling, pool tables, shuffleboard, and even a full-on laser tag arena! But you know what? The games they did have? It was a great lineup, with spotlights on brand new titles that you aren't going to find anywhere else on Long Island. Heck, there were games there that I hadn't even seen in person yet, such as Dippin Dots Drop or Typhoon Shockwave! We spent a little over three hours there and were very impressed with everything they have to offer. Take a look and see what all they've got; their grand opening is coming up this Monday, May 18, 2026!
