South Korean authorities have confirmed that 25-year-old K-pop sensation Moonbin was discovered dead in his apartment.

According to YonHapNews Television, his manager discovered his body in his Gangnam-gu, Seoul, residence at 8:10 p.m. yesterday.
The multitalented artist's most prominent roles were those he played in the boy bands Astro and its sub-units Moonbin and Sanha.
After he failed to show up for practice, he was likely located.

He made his singing debut with the group Astro in 2016 alongside five other members, all of whom had his birth name, Moon Bin.
Candy Sugar Pop, All Night, Crazy Sexy Cool, and Blue Flame were just a few of the group's many hits.

On April 19th, Astro member Moonbin suddenly left us and became a star in the sky,' said a statement from the band's record label, Fantagio Music, which was also posted on the band's Instagram.

"Although it cannot be compared to the anguish of the bereaved families who lost their beloved sons and siblings, the long-time Astro members, as well as our Fantagio colleague artists and executives, are sadly mourning the departed in tremendous sadness and shock.

Delivering the shocking news to the people who have stood behind Moonbin and showered him with love is even more painful.

Because I knew the deceased, and because he loved and cared about his fans more than anything else in the world, my loss is even greater.

They further mentioned that the burial would be a somber affair attended by his loved ones and coworkers.

Moon Sua, of Billie, the lead singer of a popular South Korean girl group, was Moonbin's older sibling.

Due to health concerns, he had to take 2019 off, but he will be rejoining the group in 2020.

On May 16, 2022, they dropped their newest album, titled Drive to the Starry Road.

MJ is serving his country in the armed services as part of South Korea's mandatory military service program, which also saw the departure of original member Rocky.

His new album, Incense, was released on January 4 alongside fellow Astro star Sanha, and the two were scheduled to perform together in Macau on Saturday.

Event organizer Lumina Entertainment has announced that the May 13 concert in Jakarta, Indonesia has been postponed.

After much deliberation, they announced that the event will be called off because of unforeseen, unavoidable circumstances.
