1988 IHRA Texas Nationals

The historic race that Eddie Hill broke into the 4 second zone. The Texas Motorplex in Ennis, TX continues its record setting ways. The event was delayed one week after qualifying and 5 more hours on race day by rain. Ed McCulloch ran a 5.30 280mph Funny Car record pass and Bob Glidden's 7.31 set the record in Pro Stock. Interesting segment on Warren Johnson's flat crank engine that made it sound like a high winding V6 on the burnout.
