Case Description:

Mr. Nair is a student preparing for competitive exams.

He had gone to the Thiruvananthapuram, branch of State Bank of India to request the issuance of a fixed deposit in his name.

When he was 26 years old, SBI Bank's employees' mis sold him an insurance policy, forcing him to invest in a product he did not want or need under the pretense of earning better returns than a fixed deposit.

He trusted the bank officials and invested Rs. 4 lakhs as recommended by the bank officials.

Only to discover a years later that he had been mis-sold an insurance policy with a premium discontinuance fund clause, and that if he fails to continue premium payments in the policy, the insurance company will invest the entire fund value in premium discontinuance fund.

He has spoken and discussed the policy's mis-sale with SBI Bank officials, but his complaints have gone unheard.

He has therefore approached Insurance Angels in order to ensure that his concerns can be effectively addressed as well as that he can share his experience for the purpose of educating and reaching a larger audience.
