UK Kayak Fishing, Winter Lures For Cod Off Whitley Bay

A winter lure session targeting cod on the Northeast Coast of England. I spotted a small weather window and headed out around St Mary's Island where I found lots of codling and the ever-present seals to keep me on my toes! All fish were caught on the deadly 25g Fiiish Black Minnow, fixed spool reel, and 7ft spinning rod, My favourite light gear setup. Great fun sea fishing on my home patch.
