How to Build a Medieval Church (from foam & wood) + FREE Templates

Here, I craft a Medieval Church from templates that I created. This model is made of foam board, XPS foam, bass wood, and a bit of drywall ready-patch (water already added).

This project took over 40 hours to build, and is the very first thing I’ve created from scratch like this. Before this, I just put together existing models. My design was based off a typical long box design. For scale, I increased the height quite a bit, vaulting high above the door.
I wasn’t sure what scale to, so I compromised between D&D at 1:60 and the more common 1:48, and settled on 1:50, which is closer to the average mini’s scale.
