Draffi mold making, resin casting & painting (with commentary)

An in depth look at how I two part moulded and cast my designer toy Draffi by adding commentary to my time lapse footage. I’m still learning definitely no expert, but I like to share what I know and hopefully it helps someone =). I've not been sponsored I just thought I'd share below a list of some of the materials/equipment I use for your convenience, but you use & buy them at your own risk. Please keep safe people =):

- Foam board 5-10mm
- Glue gun
- Chavant NSP Professional Oil Based Sulphur Free Sculpting Clay
- Mold Star 30 (pot life 45mins, cure 6hrs) – Smooth On
- 1.6 Gallon (6.3L) stainless steel vacuum degassing chamber vacuum with 2.5 CFM (1.1 L/s) 220V Pump – Lab1st
- Hex acorn dome nuts
- Smooth-Cast 305 (pot life 7min, cure 30mins) – Smooth On
- 10L Resign Moulding Pressure Tank - sprayequipment.co.uk (pressure pots are not joke always check the safety requirements in the country you live in).
- Mr. Hobby cordless polisher pro
- Pewter (metal)

Correction - In the video I said it was my first multi part cast, but it's actually not i totally forgot I'd done multiparts before with my merlion & manticore. Sorry about that super totally forgot

Oh i forgot to say that before priming don't forget to wash off the release agent before painting or it wont stick!

And huge thanks to all the artists and people online that have shared their process and have knowingly and unknowingly helped me make designer toys... you rock!

Hope you enjoyed it even if it’s long =)
