A monumental and handsome 19th century set.

Period 1/2 leather binding, raised gilt bands, title lettering & compartment decorations, marbled covers & end papers.

Book is physically old and shows some signs of handling and time. Book is not new or in "new" condition.

Bindings gently age worn, leather rubbed with small scuff spots but still supple, remains overall clean and attractive as a set.

Text block paper is gently toned, light to moderate scattered age spotting, internally still well preserved, tight, sound.

Still attractive on the shelf. Set displays a pleasing and unique age patina and is in nice antiquarian condition, any age flaws easy to overlook or forgive.
