Mali coup leaders meet mediators seeking return to civilian rule

A group of West African leaders has met the military leaders behind the coup that deposed Mali's President Ibrahim Boubacar Keita.
The ECOWAS delegation is pushing for a return to civilian rule.
The army had promised to restore democracy without saying when, and claimed that President Keita had resigned and was being held for his safety.

Al Jazeera's Ahmed Idris reports from Abuja in neighbouring Nigeria.
