This song is a funeral lament written after an earthquake that happened in 1939 in the region of Erzincan which caused the death of 70-80 people. It had been collected in the middle of the 1980' by Hasret Gültekin, a great singer, poet and intelellectual alevi who had been killed in the 1993 in the Sivas massacre (or Madimac massacre) by radical islamist people.
