Insurance firms set honour costly flood claims
The insurance sector is bracing itself to honour claims from damage due to flood coming their way, even as its umbrella body, the Association of Kenya Insurers (AKI) projects an increase in flood-related claims. However, motor vehicles policyholders with third-party covers will not be compensated for damages or vehicles swept away by the floods, unlike their counterparts with comprehensive covers who have been urged to make, their claims with the respective underwriters to facilitate timely compensation.
