Modulus of a Complex Number - Worked Examples - Formula

Learn how to calculate the modulus of a complex number. We learn the formula with worked examples and illustrate how the modulus can be interpreted as the distance from the origin to the complex number, in the complex plane or Argand diagram. We learn that the modulus equals to the square root of the sum of the squares of the real and the imaginary parts of the complex number.
The technique is very similar to what we learnt when calculating the magnitude of a vector.
