‘The Lonely One’ was released on september 2nd 2000, as one of the tracks on the album "Who Needs Guitars Anyway?". The song hit the #16 spot in the Official UK Top 40, #19 in the Official Dutch Top 40 and Top 10 in Scandinavia. s. AliceDJ’s hits continue to be air- and club play favorites.

This video was shot in Moscow and made by the then still unknown director Olaf van Gerwen who is also responsible for the Alice Deejay “Better Off Alone” video. Olaf since then has won numerous awards and has shot over 500+ commercials in 30+ countries, for companies like McDonalds, Pepsi and Nike.

At the time the act was known as Alice Deejay, but has since been abbreviated to AliceDJ.
