Franks Diner's Garbage Plate Breakfast Challenge w/ Pancakes!!

A&Z #1044 - Professional eater Randy Santel versus the "Firebird" Garbage Plate Breakfast Challenge w/ Pancakes at Franks Diner in Kenosha, Wisconsin!! Franks Diner has been featured TWICE on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives with host Guy Fieri. It first opened back in 1926 and is located next to Carthage College, with a "Firebird" as the mascot. My friends Kevin and Julie own it now and they invited me down to try their challenge that has been available for many years now, since before they bought it! I had 45 short minutes to feast on a mega-sized Garbage Plate Breakfast platter which has 5 real eggs, all their meats, all their cheeses, and all their healthy vegetables mixed together with hash browns. That is served with 3 plate-sized pancakes and 2 giant pieces of home-baked bread. I was trying to win my $30 breakfast meal half-price along with a sweet t-shirt and my name engraved up on the Wall of Fame plaque. BIG thanks to Kevin, Julie, Sandy the chef, and their Franks Diner team for the wonderful food, drinks, and hospitality!! Special thanks to everyone from around the Kenosha area who came to watch and meet us that Sunday afternoon in early March. Franks Diner's Garbage Plate Breakfast Challenge w/ Pancakes in Kenosha, Wisconsin ($30):

- Franks Diner has been serving the greater Kenosha, Wisconsin area since back in 1926.
- Franks Diner has been featured TWICE on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives with host Guy Fieri.
- Franks Diner is located very close to Carthage College, and their mascot is the Firebird.
- The main feature of this "Firebird" Challenge is a mega-sized Garbage Plate breakfast scramble.
- This garbage plate breakfast has 5 real eggs with all their meats, cheeses, and vegetables.
- Meats - ham, bacon, sausage, Chorizo, SPAM, and corned beef hash.
- Cheeses - American, Cheddar, Swiss, Hot Pepper Jack, Feta, and Mozzarella.
- Vegetables - zucchini, mushrooms, tomatoes, green pepper, spinach, onions, and jalapenos.
- That is all loaded up on a giant plate with a few orders of hash brown breakfast potatoes.
- It is served with 2 giant slices of Franks' home-baked bread and 3 plate-sized pancakes.
- I ordered my pancakes with OPTIONAL fillings (chocolate chips, blueberries, and Reese's).
- There is a 45 minute time limit to finish everything. The syrups I received were optional too.
- Winners earn the breakfast meal 1/2 price (cash only), a sweet t-shirt, and Wall of Fame!!
