So, what is CBD and how can it help?

CBD is short for cannabidiol, one of the most studied active ingredients in cannabis and hemp.

With the legalization of cannabis across Canada, there may be an influx of cannabis related skin products in the future. (image: CBD oil product)

A 2014 lab study on a human cell model, showed CBD to be a sebostatic agent - meaning that it can slow the production of sebum, the oily substance produced by your skin.

This may translate into a reduction of clogged pores, trapped with dead skin cells and potentially less acne.
So, look out for CBD. This ingredient shows promise for acne and other inflammatory skin diseases.
