On August 9, 2018, 18-year-old Tae-Ahn Lea had borrowed his mom’s car to go get a slushie.

He found himself being pulled over by the Louisville Metro Police Department's Ninth Mobile Division for the most minor of traffic violations — making a "wide turn" onto another street.

body worn camera footage of the traffic stop showed Detective Kevin Crawford and fellow Louisville officers forcibly removing, frisking and handcuffing Tae-Ahn Lea while a police dog searched his vehicle.

The search turned up nothing.
