RUTTING BUCKS on Public Land | Montana Deer (EP. 1) 🦌

In episode 1 of this Montana deer hunt, Marcus Hockett is heading to the public lands in mid-November to chase rutting bucks. Joining him is Beau Baty, Travis Rehm, and Josh Westergreen who all have general season deer tags.

They get to camp and get their wall tent set up as Beau and Josh show up. They are up early the next morning and decide to split up to hunt different areas in pairs. Beau and Josh head one way while Marcus and Travis head another direction.

Before even leaving the truck they glass up a buck. Continuing to hike on Montana's public lands, they continue to see numerous deer across the landscape. Partway through the morning they locate a nice buck. They receive a picture from Josh who shot a buck that shifted Travis and Marcus' expectations. Marcus decides to pass, but Travis chooses to get closer and see if it's a deer worth filling his tag with.
